About Me

So who am I?

(I ask myself this all the time)

My Name is Bailey Race or RaileyBacePrints. (depending on who you ask)

I have no idea what I’m doing half the time-

but I’m always swinging for the fences.

The Origin Story!

Before moving to Charm City and going to art school, I lived in a small, middle of nowhere town near Rochester, NY. While there, I had absolutely no training or focus in the arts at all, and I spent most of my time snowboarding, playing soccer, watching movies, or listening to music while playing video games. Senior year of high school, I was involved in a snowboard crash that caused me to go "Hey wait, I'm not going to be happy doing this!" - so I took a second to re-evaluate where I was going, and decided to try something that I've never tried before, creating art.

Over the next three years, I bounced around majors like it was my job - going between Graphic Design, Illustration (where I lasted a whole two weeks!), Architectural Design, and Sound Art… I finally landed myself in printmaking, where I started to teach myself how to illustrate. Soon after that, I tried screenprinting, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Fast forward to the beginning of 2019- I leave school to pursue a career in art and music, and have been pushing on since. RaileyBacePrints has since evolved into a full illustration, design, and creative direction studio - being manned by myself (the art department) and a small team of incredible people who keep the wheels turning and things moving every day.
